In relation to the Open Day at the University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev” on October 28-29, 2024, 12th-grade students and their teachers from PGHT “Prof. Asen Zlatarov” (Pleven), NPTG “Shandor Petofi” (Razgrad), and SU “Nikolai Katranov” (Svishtov) visited the university.
Training Seminars on 3D Technologies:
During their visit, the guests from the three schools participated in training seminars on the topic “Application of 3D Technologies to Reduce Carbon Footprint”, which were organized specifically for them by faculty members from the Department of Telecommunications.
The seminars concluded with the presentation of certificates of participation to the students and teachers, and each participant received a 3D-printed souvenir — a figurine representing the connection between 3D technologies and carbon footprint reduction. All souvenirs were produced using 3D printers in the 3D Makerspace. This is a shared creative space recently opened in Room 6.302 at the university.
University Tour:
After the training sessions, the students and teachers had the opportunity to explore the university’s buildings and laboratories, as well as visit the Research Complex and the Center of Excellence UNITe.
Open Day Activities:
To conclude the visit, all guests participated in the activities of the Open Day at Kanev Center, where they learned more in detail about the educational opportunities available at the university’s various faculties and branches.
