From October 13 to 14, 2025, the following people visited University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev”: Dr. Eng. Boryana Manolova, Chief Executive Director of Siemens EOOD, Eng. Alexander Stoyanov, Head of Intelligent Infrastructure division at the company, Eng. Rumen Stoimenov, Head of the Center for Innovation in Building Technologies at Siemens EOOD, Eng. Nikola Petkov, Sales Manager in the Digital Industries division, Ms. Rumyana Parusheva, Sustainability Manager and Head of Communications at Siemens EOOD, as well as other representatives of the company from the offices in Sofia and Ruse.
During their visit, the guests from Siemens held a training seminar for university students on the topic: “Targeted technologies – digital twins for a sustainable future” and, together with the university’s academic leadership, opened the Siemens Corner in Building 2 – a shared space for relaxation and exchange of information and knowledge between students and teaching staff at Alma Mater.
The visit continued at the Center of Excellence UNITe (UNITe Project), which was built under project BG16RFPR002-1.014-0004, funded by the “Scientific Research, Innovation, and Digitization for Smart Transformation” Program 2021-2027 and co-funded by the European Union. At the CoE UNITe building the guests learned about the main tasks, activities, and results of the research conducted by scientists at the center and examined the specialized equipment in the laboratories for 3D digitization, kinematics, 3D printing, and 3D visualization at the center.
The possibilities for expanding cooperation between University of Ruse and Siemens EOOD in the field of cybersecurity, building automation, digital technologies, and digital twins were discussed.
