UNITE

From May 12 to 16, 2025, the 9th International Erasmus+ Week took place at University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev”.

Event Highlights:

  • Nearly 50 faculty members from 27 partner universities in 18 countries participated, including Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Canada, China, Georgia, Iraq, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

Key Activities:

  1. Visit to the Research Complex:
    On May 12, 2025, the guests visited the Research Complex at University of Ruse, where they were introduced to the activities of the “Scientific University of Ruse” Project.

The international faculty members had the opportunity to visit the laboratories of NG 3.1.2. Sustainable Transport Mobility and NG 3.1.3. Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems and Technologies for Generating and Visualizing Spatial Objects and Processes. In these laboratories, they explored the research and developments in:

    • Electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell-powered cars.
    • Robotic systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and autonomous systems for early wildfire detection.

The “Scientific University of Ruse” Project is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of Bulgaria, under contract BG-RRP-2.013-0001-C01.

  1. Visit to the Center of Excellence UNITe:
    All participants in the 9th International Erasmus+ Week had the opportunity to visit the Center of Excellence UNITe at University of Ruse. During the visit, they explored the 3D digitization, kinematics, 3D printing, and 3D visualization laboratories. The guests were also introduced to the primary tasks and research activities at the center.

The Center of Excellence UNITe is part of the UNITe Project (BG16RFPR002-1.014-0004), funded under the Program for Scientific Research, Innovation, and Digitalization for Intelligent Transformation (PNIIDIT).

This event was an excellent opportunity for international academics to explore cutting-edge research and technology while fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between University of Ruse and its global partners.
