From June 23 to 27, 2025, over 30 professors and staff members from 15 partner universities across 12 countries visited University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev”. Represented countries included Albania, Algeria, Brazil, Vietnam, Georgia, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Poland, Thailand, Tunisia, and Uzbekistan.

The visits were organized through the Department of Computer Systems and Technologies and the Department of Telecommunications, with countries like Albania, Algeria, Vietnam, Georgia, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Uzbekistan collaborating through the former, and Brazil, Jordan, and Thailand through the latter.
Notable Activities:
- Visit to the Research Complex: On June 25, 2025, the international guests had the opportunity to visit the Research Complex at University of Ruse, where they were greeted by Academician Hristo Beloev, who introduced them to the activities and results of the “Scientific University of Ruse” Project.
During their tour, the guests explored the NG 3.1.2. “Sustainable Transport Mobility” lab (headed by Prof. Ivan Beloev from the Department of Transport) and the NG 3.1.3. “Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems and Technologies for Generation and Visualization of Spatial Objects and Processes” lab (led by Prof. Georgi Hristov from the Department of Telecommunications).
The visitors got acquainted with:
- Electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
- Robotic systems and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
- Autonomous systems for early detection of forest fires.
The “Scientific University of Ruse” Project is funded by the EU – NextGenerationEU, as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of Bulgaria.
- Visit to the Center of Excellence UNITe (UNITe Project):
The guests also had the opportunity to visit the Center of Excellence UNITe, where they explored laboratories dedicated to 3D digitization, kinematics, 3D printing, and 3D visualization. They were introduced to the center’s core research and development activities.
The Center of Excellence UNITe was established under the Project BG16RFPR002-1.014-0004 UNITe, financed by the Research, Innovation, and Digitalization for Smart Transformation Program (PNIIDIT).
Seminar on Technology Transfer:
- A seminar on Technology Transfer was held on May 13, 2025, at the UNITe Center, organized by NG 3.1.3, focusing on Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems and technologies for generating and visualizing spatial objects and processes under the “Scientific University of Ruse” Project.
