On February 2, 2026, a scientific seminar entitled “Current Technologies, Present Challenges and Emerging Solutions for the Digital Transformation of Education and Science” was held at Mae Fah Luang University in Chiang Rai, Thailand.
The event was organized at the invitation of the Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology Association of Thailand, the Faculty of Applied Digital Technology at Mae Fah Luang University, and its affiliated research group “Computer and Communication Engineering for Capacity Building – CCC”.
The seminar began with a brief presentation of the two universities through video materials and continued with a detailed presentation of the activities related to the digitalization of education and research at University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev”.
The activities in the field of 3D technologies carried out within the Center of Excellence UNITe were presented. The center was established under project BG16RFPR002-1.014-0004, funded by the Programme “Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Smart Transformation” 2021–2027 and co-funded by the European Union.
After the scientific seminar, the Bulgarian delegation held a working meeting with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nacha Chondamrongkul – Dean of the Faculty of Applied Digital Technology at Mae Fah Luang University – as well as with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Punnarumol Temdee and Dr. Chayapol Kamyod – long-standing partners of University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev”.
