On June 11, 2024, a group of professors from China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Jordan, and Albania visited University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev” as part of the Erasmus+ program. The visiting researchers took part in bilateral Erasmus+ agreements for the exchange of students and faculty, coordinated by the Department of Computer Systems and Technologies and the Department of Telecommunications at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Automation.
Activities during the visit:
- Scientific Seminar with Assoc. Prof. Galina Ivanova:
- The guests participated in a brief scientific seminar with Assoc. Prof. Galina Ivanova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at University of Ruse, who provided an overview of the university and presented the concept of the Future Education Space.
- Presentations by the Guests:
- Each of the international guests presented information about their home universities and the scientific and educational activities taking place there.
- Visit to the Center of Excellence UNITe:
- At the Center of Excellence UNITe, the visitors took part in a scientific seminar on 3D technologies and methods for digitalization and visualization of objects.
- They had the opportunity to explore the specialized equipment used for:
- 3D scanning;
- 3D printing;
- Kinematic capture;
- Various holographic pyramids;
Augmented and Virtual Reality systems, and more.
