On July 16th, 2025, a meeting was held at the CoE UNITe meeting room at University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev”. The event was attended by representatives from University of Ruse, Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), and Soltech Ltd., an integrator of complex technological solutions in the fields of industrial equipment, software services, and automation, as well as a representative for leading global companies such as Hoffman Group, Siemens Digital Industries Software, SICK, CIMCO, Universal Robots, and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR).

Main Objectives of the Meeting:
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the collaborative work of the three organizations in the framework of the “Digital Twin on Smart Manufacturing” project, funded by the Erasmus+ Program under contract 101140156 – ERASMUS-EDU-2023-PI-ALL-INNO. The project aims to develop virtual twins of various industrial automation systems and pilot their integration into educational processes at several secondary and higher education institutions across Europe.
- Project Goal: The development of digital twins for smart manufacturing systems with a focus on integrating these models into educational curricula.
- Roles of Participants:
- RCCI is a project partner.
- University of Ruse is an associated partner and beneficiary of the project.
Post-Meeting Activities:
Following the meeting and discussions, the guests had the opportunity to visit the CoE UNITe laboratories in Ruse, where they explored the 3D digitization, kinematics, 3D printing, and 3D visualization labs. They were also introduced to the main activities and tasks of the researchers working in the center.
