The Center of Excellence UNITe is an association, established by leading Bulgarian universities with a clear mission: to advance scientific knowledge, innovation, and digital transformation in Bulgaria. UNITe brings together the academic community to conduct high-quality research, develop technologies and share knowledge within an e-society.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expands, transforms, and applies the knowledge gained from the project to new research in the scientific field;
- Develops new concepts and ideas, research objectives, and proposals for scientific research;
- Performs critical analysis and evaluation of research results;
- Applies the results of their scientific research in other scientific fields and utilizes their technological potential;
- Publishes the results of their scientific research in specialized scientific publications, indicating an affiliation with the COE UNITe Association and the project number;
- Makes decisions regarding the achievement of objectives and compliance with research deadlines;
- Presents the results of their work at scientific forums and disseminates them via the Internet, media, and other forms of communication;
- Collaborates actively within the COE UNITe Association, as well as outside it, with scientific teams from academic circles to carry out and plan research projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- To have a PhD (or equivalent) in the scientific field;
- To have an excellent knowledge of the current level and methods of research in the relevant scientific field and to have a strategic vision for its future;
- To be recognized globally as a scientist in the scientific field and to have an international reputation;
- To have refereed publications in scientific journals or collections;
- To have excellent written and oral communication skills;
- English language at working level;
- Very good computer skills – MS Office, data processing programs, and other programs specific to the scientific field;
- To have an account on one of the following platforms: Mendeley, ORCID, Google Scholar, Research Gate;
- To have experience in team leadership and experience in managing large research projects;
- Ability to combine classical and contemporary research methods;
- To be familiar with the regulations governing the activities of the COE UNITe Association, as well as the regulations in the field of education and science relating to their main activities.
